Deer showing off his new antlers in the woods on Newcastle Island, Naneimo. This beautiful island is only accessable by boat and has no roads or houses, just 20km of walking and mountain bike trails, sheltered private beaches and woodland campsites with open fires and BBQ's. We'll definately be going back here... We also snapped a pair of woodpeckers and a small black and yellow snake !! We are hoping to see the Blonde Racoons and Beavers next time we visit.
